Former ABMF recipient, Mikolaj Warszynsky, will be putting on a piano recital titled LISZTOMANIA on Sunday, January 15th, 2017 at 2:30p.m. at the Convocation Hall in the Old Arts Building of the University of Alberta under the auspices of The Wirth Institute for Austrian and Central European Studies in collaboration with Mazurka Music and Art. The Concert is a Wirth Institute initiative in support of mental health awareness on campus. Admission is by donation and all proceeds benefit mental health initiatives on campus.
LISZTOMANIA takes place a day prior to Blue Monday (the third Monday in January) which is reported to be the most depressing day of the year. Beat the Blues and attend a unique musical event which aims to invigorate the spirits of all music lovers! On the program are an assortment of some of the best-loved piano works of the legendary pianist and composer Franz Liszt. The Recital will also be recorded live and released as a CD on the Wirth Institute Label!
