Current scholarship recipient, Gabrielle Després, just received first prize in the Klein International String Competition! This includes a $13,000 prize and performance contracts with the Peninsula and Santa Cruz Symphonies, the Gualala Arts Chamber Music Series, and Music in the Vineyards.
The Klein International String Competition is one of the most prestigious events of its kind and has helped to enhance the developing careers of young string players (ages 15-23), many of whom have gone on to become world renowned soloists, chamber musicians, teachers, and orchestral members.
